Sea glass is often referred to as “Mermaid Tears”. These are the ocean’s treasures born from years of tumbling waves and sands of time. What begins as discarded glass bottles, jars, and trinkets, find their way into the sea, where the natural process of erosion transforms them into beautiful glass gems. I take these ‘gems’ and wrap them with wire, and sometimes beads, making them into wearable art.
I will supply all jewelry parts necessary to make one sea glass pendant wrapped in silver wire. You will be able to pick out your own piece of sea glass, as well as a silver chain. In addition, you are welcome to bring your own sea glass or stone to wrap! There will be lots of options and colors. If you have any jewelry pliers or tools of your own, bring them along.
