Join us for Student Education Day at Fort King
If you are looking for an enlightening and exciting outing for your students, public, private or homeschooled this year, look no further than Fort King National Historic Landmark's Student Education Day on December 4.
From 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. we will bring history to life! From soldiers to civilians to Indigenous, students will get to breathe in north-central Florida's rich history from pre-contact indigenous groups, through to the 1840s.
Highlighting the day's activities will be mid-day programs from Jimmy Riffle's 'Scales Tails and Teeth' wildlife show, as well as the Iron Horse Dancers performing their colorful cultural Indigenous dances.
