On March 7, 2025, Retro Sounds will transport you to the Roaring 20s with an unforgettable celebration of jazz, flappers, and Art Deco style! The evening will begin with a lively 1920s dance performance featuring Dance by Sheila from 6-6:30 p.m. Next, from 6:30-7 p.m., the Arthur Murray Dance Center will offer free themed dance lessons, where you’ll learn how to dance the Charleston and more.
Then, Vivacity will take the stage for a razzle-dazzle two-hour performance of Roaring 20’s Gatsby Jazz. Their energetic and captivating show will bring the spirit of the Jazz Age to life and have you tapping your feet to the rhythm of the era. It’s going to be the cat’s pajamas!
Attendees will enjoy over 40 visual art displays along the downtown sidewalks, with free activities featuring a 1920s theme hosted by local arts organizations on the Downtown Square. There will also be special themed sales and extended business hours at local shops and restaurants. Additionally, the event will feature a vintage car show by the Ocala Street Cruisers. This event is free and open to the public! Guests are invited to bring their own chairs to the Downtown Square.
