Interfaith Emergency Services was created in 1983 by the local religious pastoral community who saw a need in Marion County to provide emergency assistance to individuals and families in crisis. Services at Interfaith include a food pantry, clothing closet, homeless shelter, Food 4 Kids program, thrift store and outreach centers.
Interfaith Emergency Services has a variety of volunteer opportunities where you can plug in and help your community. The flexible hours that a volunteer can work, will fit into nearly any schedule. The time commitment for volunteer positions on average are 3-4 hours, one day a week, Monday – Friday (morning or afternoon).
