Brother's Keeper at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church

Brother's Keeper is the social service outreach ministry of our parish. We have been assisting the needy and marginalized of our parish and of our community since the early 1970's.

SOUP KITCHEN:
There are many opportunities to help at our Soup Kitchen. We serve lunch from 12:00pm – 1:00pm everyday (including Christmas and Easter). If you are interested in volunteering at the soup kitchen, please call 352-789-8139 during the hours of 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

THRIFT STORE:
Our Thrift Store is always in need of people to sort clothes or work the cash register. You can work half a day or a full day. Our hours are Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE
One month before Thanksgiving we collect money to buy up to 250 needy families a bag of groceries for a full Thanksgiving meal. Our Soup Kitchen collects food for a Thanksgiving feast. Drivers are needed to deliver Thanksgiving dinners to the shut-ins of our Parish. We collect food and new toys to give to over 300 families and 600 children at Christmas. Our angel tree gives you the opportunity to buy a toy for a boy or girl of a specific age. We collect donations to be able to buy a Christmas ham for each family.
