Discovery Center Classes and Programs

Science Classes: The Discovery Center proudly offers science classes for ages 2 and up on a weekly basis September through April.

STEAM Saturdays: STEAM Saturdays is an additional educational program that the Discovery Center offers each month on Saturdays. We highly encourage you to come early so you can enjoy the exhibit before the STEAM Saturdays program! Includes exhibit admission, a StarLab Planetarium show and the STEAM classroom Program.

Animals on Display: Discovery Center has a wide variety of reptiles, amphibians, arachnids and more on display. Stop in to check out our nocturnal room and say hi to our awesome animals!

Exhibit Rentals: Discovery Center rental exhibits are great for museums, libraries, schools and community centers. They are hands on, easy to set up, and able to be scaled to fit anywhere from 500 to 5,000 square feet. See website for more information on each of our exhibits. Volunteering: The Discovery Center is always in search of enthusiastic, hard-working volunteers. If you have a passion for science, animals, or children, we have some great opportunities for you! City of Ocala volunteers are required to be 16 years of age or older. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult during volunteer hours.
