SSS Youth Center Homeschool PE and STEAM Program

We are offering an ongoing Homeschool PE/Steam program here at the Silver Springs Shores Community/Youth Center every Tuesday starting September 1st at 9:30am to 1:00 pm for 9-15-year old.

The Steam program will be held in our Youth Center from 9:30am to 10:30am for 9-15-year-old The P.E. program will follow at 10:30am to 11:30am for 9-15-year-old. Children will be introduced to a variety of physical activities designed to help them improve motor skills and fitness levels, as well as help foster peer relationships. Activities will include cooperative games, archery, fishing, team water sports, field games, team sports, general motor skills building, swimming, and various fitness concepts.

Physical Education (PE) programs assist children in forming long lasting relationships in a fun-filled atmosphere. By enrolling your child in the PE class, they will meet other homeschooled children, while learning different sports and games to develop a healthy and fun lifestyle. “We have fun games and activities that not only provide a physical education aspect but also the perfect time for kids to let loose and just have fun. The Steam activities cover a wide range of subjects for young artists. Steam projects using paint, paper, clay, natural objects, canvas and other materials will make every week fun and challenging.

Cost for the P.E. & Steam program is $15/month (4 classes).

*After PE classes all homeschoolers will have an hour to swim in our heated pool. *(weather permitting). Swimming time 11:45 – 12:45.
