
The Florida Department of Health in Marion County (DOH-Marion) dental program provides diagnostic, restorative, preventive, and educational services. Dental services are offered Monday through Friday, and new patients are being accepted. Bilingual services are available.
DOH-Marion accepts several insurances, including Medicaid, some Medicare policies, DentaQuest, Liberty, and Kid Care/Florida Healthy Kids. If you do not have insurance, we charge on a sliding scale based on income. If you need insurance, you may qualify for coverage under other programs such as Kid Care. To find out if you are eligible, call the clinic or visit the health department’s main Ocala facility to sign up.
DOH-Marion's dental program serves patients at the College of Central Florida Hampton Center. The partnership allows the department to help serve the dental needs of Marion County’s underserved children and adults while also giving students studying dental assisting important training to perform as efficient dental professionals. DOH-Marion also sees children at the Marion County Head Start campus in Ocala and provides preventive services in area schools.
Additionally, DOH-Marion provides services to and accommodates the needs of children and adults with specials needs and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
