2027 Elements of Art: Student Art Exhibition
January 5 - February 7, 2027
“Elements of Art” is an annual exhibition hosted by the Appleton Museum of Art, featuring artwork by Marion County Independent School students.

Students and their families are invited for an Open House on Saturday, January 9, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. During this time, the museum will be free for the student artists and their families to visit the museum and see their artwork on display.

2027 License Plate Tag Art: Student Art Exhibition
January 19 - February 28, 2027
The “Marion County Tax Collector Kids Tag Art” program is hosted by the Marion County Tax Collector’s office and sponsored by Jenkins Auto, inspiring 5th grade art students to design their own specialty plate while learning about the practical application of license plate art and how Florida’s 100+ specialty license plates support worthy causes. The program culminates in an exhibition at the Appleton Museum of Art.

Students and their families are invited for an Open House on Saturday, January 23, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. During this time, the museum will be free for the student artists and their families to visit the museum and see their artwork on display.

My Art, My Way: Arts4All Florida
February 16 - March 7, 2027
The goal of the program is to increase students’ artistic skills and techniques, cognitive learning including memory retention and language acquisition, and self expression through the arts. The teaching artist works directly with the participants providing hands-on activities that are sequential and developmentally appropriate for seven one-hour sessions, culminating in an exhibition at the Appleton Museum of Art.

2027 Young in Art: Student Art Exhibition
March 16 - April 18, 2027
The 9th annual “Appleton Studio Art Showcase” features work created throughout the year by adults and children enrolled in the museum’s studio arts programs. On view in the Education Rotunda, get a glimpse of the talent and creativity that occurs in the studio art classes, workshops and art camps.

Students and their families are invited for an Open House on Saturday, May 15, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. During this time, the museum will be free for the student artists and their families to visit the museum and see their artwork on display.

2027 Citrus Canvas: Virtual Exhibition
May 24 - May 24, 2027
“Citrus Canvas” is a virtual exhibition showcasing new artworks created by rising talents from K-12 Citrus County Public School students.
