De Leon Springs State Park

De Leon Springs State Park

Splish, splash and escape the summer heat at De Leon Springs State Park! De Leon Springs State Park is located in Volusia County. Swim in our refreshing 72-degree spring water where depths range from 18 inches to 30 feet at the spring boil. The spring is located in a natural setting perfect for spreading a blanket and having a picnic in the surrounding grassy areas. There are tables and grills available on a first come, first serve basis, and four picnic pavilions are available for rent, perfect for a family or friend summer outing!

The Fountain of Youth Eco/Heritage tour aboard the M/V Acuera, departing four times daily, is a 50-minute trip through De Leon Springs State Park and Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge. After passengers find a comfortable seat, the Acuera will ease away from the dock to begin telling the tale of these "healing waters," named by the Mayaca Indians. Much of the story will unfold before your eyes as osprey swoop down to pluck a fish for a meal and alligators warm themselves in the sun.

The popular Old Sugar Mill Pancake House, located in a 100-year-old replica of the original 1830s sugar mill, features cook-your-own pancakes at the table and freshly made bread and cookies.
