 arried away AGAIN!  This fun fundraiser will help provide scholarships to l
 ocal students attending the University of Florida.\nThank you  to our Premi
 er sponsors, One Stop Golf Carts and Elite Medical Ocala\nNEWS FLASH! the f
 irst 150 runners to cross the finish line will receive a Dia de los Muertos
  GATOR SKULL medal, pictured below. No alligators were harmed in the drafti
 ng of this design.\n\nWe will hold pre race packet pick up on Friday Oct 24
 , 2025 from 3 to 6 pm at BASELINE TRAILHEAD. Race day pick up will begin at
  7am.\n\nDia de los Muertos is a traditional holiday that takes place in Me
 xico at the end of October.  Its been embraced by the world because of its 
 uplifting message.  Some experts believe that the roots of the holiday are 
 from Medieval Europe derived from the feast days, All Saints Day and All So
 uls Day.  Wherever the origins, Dia de los Muertos is a celebration of the 
 lives of loved ones that have passed on.  The colorful costumes, music and 
 food are a remembrance of the joy we shared with those family and friends. 
  In this spirit, we invite you to join us at this festive event!
