MCFR is inviting the community to “Bring the Harvest Home” by stopping by their local fire station for a special Open House event in support of Marion County’s annual holiday food drive.
On Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., all MCFR fire stations throughout Marion County will be open to the public. Residents are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to help support local food pantries and families in need this holiday season.
In addition to donating, guests will have the opportunity to:
• Meet the Firefighters, Paramedics, and EMTs who serve their community
• Tour the fire station and learn more about daily fire-rescue operations
• Explore fire engines and rescue units up close and learn about the life-saving tools carried on each vehicle
“Marion County always steps up when neighbors need help, and this food drive is a powerful way to support our most vulnerable residents,” said Fire Chief James Banta. “We’re excited to welcome families into our stations, show them the equipment we use, and connect them directly with the men and women who respond when they call 9-1-1.”
All non-perishable food items collected during the Open House events will support Marion County’s Bring the Harvest Home Food Drive, helping ensure local food pantries are stocked for the holiday season.
Residents can visit any MCFR fire or EMS station between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on November 22 to participate.
