The Villages Balloon Festival

Balloon ascensions are planned for early morning and later afternoons, when the weather conditions are favorable for flight. Balloon Glows are scheduled each evening as well, when the balloons return to the field after their ascensions. Remember that all balloon activities are dependent upon favorable weather conditions.

A tethered balloon ride is a ride in the basket of a balloon at a low altitude, usually less than 40 feet off the ground. The balloon remains tethered to the ground by weights and people holding onto strong ropes and cables.

The Fun Zone returns this year, with all the exciting activities from this past year and more– and all at no charge! Put your wallet away while kids enjoy the Caricature Artist & Face Painters brought to you by We Draw the Crowd; inflatable games and slides. Let your children explore their artistic sides at the large mural board – where everyone is invited to add their own drawings. Alongside the Arts and Crafts tent are even more games to enjoy.
